Referees are responsible for being on time.

Referees are expected to hustle at all times and keep up with the pace of play.

Referees should clearly communicate penalties and play stoppages by forcefully blowing whistle.

Referees should report all yellow cards, red cards, and conduct problems to the referee coordinator.

TOP

Travel and Developmental Games
Referees must call coach at least two days before to confirm the time, date and place of a game. Failure to do so may result in losing an assignment. Referees should leave their name and telephone number to be informed of late-breaking changes or cancellations.

TOP

Intramural Games
Referee must end games on time. In the event that the teams are not ready to play on time, game times and halftimes should be adjusted to guarantee a timely end of the game to avoid scheduling delays of follow-on games.

TOP

Rescheduling of Games
If you cannot make the scheduled game, you must try to locate a qualified substitute from the referee list. Referee age group qualification is on referee list (U10, U12, etc.) Only USSF certified referees are eligible for travel or developmental games.

If you can not find a qualified substitute, you must call the referee coordinator two days before the scheduled game.

The originally scheduled referee will be held responsible for any games where a referee fails to show, and may affect future assignments.
